Not that I ever want to be in jail, but if I was and I had my choice, I'd choose here.
That said...isn't cantina just another name for jail in Mexico? I mean

New Meaning to Jailhouse Rock
Mr. Holder, Shouldn't You be Running the Justice Department?
And shouldn't you be managing your own BATFE and getting to the bottom of project Fast and Furious instead of running HBO and pitching new episodes (or perhaps a movie) of The Wire?
This man heads the justice department but is kind enough to consider himself the latest CEO of a cable subscription channel? If Mr. Holder wants The Wire back on the air, perhaps he could start writing the script and casting the acting slots. Certainly he has enough time to multi-task between Fast & Furious gate or Black Panther gate to write the scripts, no? If that's not the case, shouldn't he be helping states rid themselves of the illegal immigration problems they have?
If it is not apparent to you now, it probably never will be, but it is quite obvious that the current executive branch administration is only in this for two things: 1) Personal gain, both financially and political power wise, 2) To absolutely destroy anything with any shred of our founding as to remake us into their ideals.
Now, Mr. Holder, would you please leave the Justice Department and start directing that new The Wire movie? I'm sure the BATFE would thank you for getting the heat off of them that way they can go back to more Waco's and Ruby Ridge's like their sister organization instead of the current international incidents.

Net Neutral: The Coming War
Do you YouTube in the morning? What about Twitter at lunch, Facebook for breakfast, or Netflix at suppertime? Perhaps you even Hulu in the afternoon? Or do you Drudge yourself to work after Free Republic'ing your way out of bed? Do you eat your Apple apps for lunch or do you prefer to let your Droid automate them for you?
Well, whatever you do on the internet is now destine for failure; the Goreacle will not be happy.
Yes, that's right, Net Neutrality is here! HOORAY! From the makers of al carte Obamacare health care reform, we now have a brand new, illegal framework within the Fed Gov that will be controlling our 1s and 0s. I can assure you that I am thrilled! (Sarcasm induced thrilled that is).
When you have statements from DHS like this above, it does not exactly inspire confidence that the content will not be corrupted, monitored and shut down. We see exactly how the big banks treat our money and how the Federal Reserve steals from the US taxpayers, so should we really be trusting an FCC that will act in concert with big Telecom to create a data structure hierarchy? I'm sure China will not be thrilled with the competition they will now face in who rules the internet.
Further, is it hard to imagine such a vote coming only weeks after a major story in Wiki Leaks broke? True, the FCC's chair has been pushing for net-non-neutrality for close to a year, but could the timing of Julian Assange's docu-drop been any more well timed? Yes, it is potentially just a conspiracy theory in its infancy, but considering the Christmas gift we received from the Obama Presidency a year ago in the dark of night of a holiday, is this a truly far fetched reality? Quite possibly not, but that is up to you to decide dear reader.
I will close by saying that if the telecoms intend to limit speech, data usage, and or filter content in any way, technology, hackers, and other freedom bloggers will not be stopped. Freedom will not cease to exist merely because some madmen with a power fetish refuse to yield to the will of the majority. No, we will continue to expose them for the bigoted parasites that they are, and for as long as necessary to achieve a return to our Constitutional Republic.

A high-ranking Homeland Security official says the agency will protect Americans' civil liberties and privacy while it partners with the military to protect the nation's computer networks.
An agreement with the military announced two weeks ago "in no way changes our respective departments' promises to protect civil liberties and privacy," Rear Adm. Michael Brown said Wednesday at the National Symposium on Homeland Security and Defense in Colorado Springs.

Name that Rioting Country: Wednesday Edition
If you responded with "What is Greece?" Then you can give yourself a big pat on the back!
That brings the number of rioting countries in the last two days to, well, two.
About 200 leftist protesters chased Kostis Hatzidakis as he left parliament, shouting: "Thieves! Shame on you!" They threw stones and beat him with sticks, until he took flight into a nearby building.Notice that we see the word, leftist. While that does not necessarily mean their motives are purely from the leftist agenda, the mere fact that they are fighting austerity and disrupting the public sectors like schools, transportation, and airlines, is it a wounder that the writing is on the wall for the United States? These average citizens had entrusted their government leaders to preserve their general welfare, but that is exactly what seems to be their undoing.
The 300-seat house voted into law measures that cut wages in state-owned bus and railway companies and weakened the power of collective bargaining to allow company-level deals to prevail. As can be seen in other countries that are facing the budget crunch, programs and jobs have to be cut to reduce spending. When that happens, real people are effected and they loose their gravy train. Factor in the corruption that coexists within the American public sector via unions like the SEIU, is it hard to imagine seeing violence in the streets of our major cities in the year(s) ahead? What will happen when those on public assistance lose their free lunch?
Zero Hedge has also been covering the Greek news this morning as events unfold. Following their Twitter like feed of events, it seems that all of the anger is directed at the government officials and or wealthy individuals that have perpetuated the disconnect with the working class. What needs to be measured in these protests is that the working class in Greece (and to a lesser extent in Italy and Ireland), is starting to realize that their mortgage bill has come do, and they don't like that the wealth disparity continues to grow at their expense. Wealth transfers from the middle class to the wealthy and poor, simply because they buy votes or favors has to come to an end. With no way to earn a living to pay the ever inflated bills of necessity, those who are in these afflicted Euro Zone countries have been rebelling, and will continue to do so.

Volunteering for the DHS & TSA "Christmas List"; Just Check Patriotic Extremist
Lesson number one of blogging (or anything press related), if ya got a good story, get it to press because someone might beat ya to it.
According to the Canadian Free Press article, it would appear that the TSA is taking note of who is being civilly disobedient, and then labeling them "domestic extremists." Why thank you! I will gladly take that label Big Sis, but I would prefer to be referred to as a patriotic extremist instead. So can you please make that change?
Wait, what? This is the United States of America! Since when have we not endorsed civil disobedience? Hell, our country was founded on it!
Further, Doug Haemann's article says that the internal, not for public consumption, memo had implications that the directive went all the way to the top. Great, so we have a defacto admission that a sitting US President not only endorses the pathetic procedures but wants to add the unwilling and uncooperative to his "enemies" list? Hell, if I knew I was going to be treated as such a serf in my own country, perhaps I can still get anairplane ticket shipping container reservation on a slow boat to China. I'm sure customs will fail to screen the box, since they barely thwarted the toner cartridge bombs!
Oh, and if that's not good enough for ya, slide on over to John R. Lott's blog, where he has the viral Adam Savage (of Mythbusters) video and how he allegedly got through security with contraband. Additionally, John has posted a Clinton News Network (CNN) video on whether or not the disrobing machines even work at stopping underwear bomber style attacks. Excellent! We give up our rights for the illusion of security, and it's even been admitted to by a biased news company? AWESOME!
I wish everyone out there today who is traveling through airports or other secure areas the best in their civil disobedience efforts. I hope you had the name and number of a good civil rights attorney on your cell phone at both ends of your trip. The only way this thing will stop is from public outrage and pressure on the airlines to "opt out" their airports and companies. Hit the companies in the pocketbook, which will in turn, hit the lobbying industry in the pocketbook, which in turn hits the bank accounts of the politicians. Simple enough, as we all know, money is what makes the world go around.

Over / Under 20: What's Your Bet On USA's Corrupt Politics Ranking?
Most of the readers of this blog are smart enough to know that politics and the democratic system in our country is well, at times, corrupt.
How corrupt? Oh, so corrupt that we no longer crack the top 20 for corruption (meaning the higher in the ranking the less corrupt your political system). While the Daily Reckoning has their take on the situation, you can read the raw report from Transparency International, here.

Debt vs Votes
BigGovernment.com had an interest graphic last week.
Votes for President in 2008 versus the debt loads of the states. See a correlation?
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Tyler

Big Government Big Bureaucracy
What happens when the government steals 20 billion from a major corporation? Oh that's right, thieves steal from the government! From the London Telegraph last week...
US authorities have arrested three people in the past week on suspicion of abusing the system designed to compensate commercial fisherman for lost business since the [BP] disaster. One thing to learn is that while the government steals from it's citizens, don't steal from the government, it hates competition. Just more failed meddler's policies right before our eyes. Is there ANY argument to keep ANY one of the current incumbents in Washington? Let them all burn at the election stake this year. (Note that I did say election stake, not an actual stake, lest someone think I'm inciting violence against our dear leaders).
