QOTD: Marine Whoop Ass Style!

One thing is for certain, that Marine deserves a beer (or two)!  I hope to see him run for office one day, and slap some silly liberal/hippies around like this (because of the the Trumpified language)!  Look, average Joe six pack (meaning me, and people like me) appreciate this kind of speak.  It's raw, it's real, and it certainly takes balls, and yes, even patriotism to speak it.  That's America in a nutshell, someone with the sense, the guts, and the passion to lay the wood.  HooooRaahh!  Well put!

H/t to Trevor Loudon.

Limiting Impact of Speech

While most libertarians would agree that SCOTUS properly ruled in favor of the Westboro Batnuts earlier this year, I for one believe that we can limit the impact of their antics.  (Since the press seems to give them limitless attention that they don't deserve).

Now, Carol County (and maybe even the whole state) is poised to limit the ability of the Batnuts to protest at funerals by increasing the "buffer zone" distance for permitted speech.

I know that in this posting, there is a bit of contradictions and irony, but that is a fraud I am willing to commit.  If SCOTUS says we have no right to sue for monetary damages based upon the brash and indigent speech that is spewed forth by that of Westboro, then the families of fallen soldiers, popular celebs, or anyone that dies tragically with enough media attention should have the ability to not be subjected to speech they don't wish to see or hear.  In that, we are not limiting the ability of the turds to drone their message, but the state can and should restrict their ability with which to use public lands (road right of ways and sidewalks, ect) to protest.

This is truly a compelling interest in its purist form, and one that is fully supported by a majority of the people.  The scope of such a limit does not impact the ability of the attention whores to whore before the cameras for the depraved press, but it does make sure that police officers don't have to stop any vigilante justice seekers from Molotov Cocktail-ing the rejects all the way back to their "pearly gates."  While as we hear the likes of the anti-gun movement shout for common sense restrictions, this prime example of restrictions which are temporary and benign towards enumerated civil rights does protect the rights of both classes of individuals; something that anti-gunners don't seem to be bothered with.

No matter what Carol County and the State of Maryland do, I'm sure these Westboro Batnuts will be back through the state, trying to seek attention.  Should they attempt to breach any buffer zone intended to prevent their harm towards a fellow man, then I certainly wish God to strike them down through some fine lighting bolts of furry from above (and not through the vigilante justice implied could happen above).  After all, irony is a dish best served cold.

Amish Key to Defense of 2A?

An interesting twist to the Illinois FOID card has just sprung up; AMISH!

Living in the Amish Paradise is about to be not so pretty, provided the leftists and anti-gunners in Illinois proceed to force the state's Amish gun owners to have their pictures placed upon their FOID cards.  If you are familiar with the devoutly religious Christian sect, than you certainly will recall that their religious beliefs strictly forbid having a photograph taken.  Until last week, Amish FOID holders were exempt from having their picture taken by a matter of policy.  Now, a rule change has put that in jeopardy.

Freedom haters appear to hate freedom no matter what its form.  Illinois should just make it the official state sport to destroy any and all individual freedom (especially that of religion and gun rights).  It simply wasn't enough for the administrators of that state to out gun owners' personal information and make them ideal targets for thieves of both their personal property and information, their compelling interest in a sissified state demanded they go further!  Nope, the AG and the State Police Director couldn't possibly stop there, they had to attack one group's religious beliefs forbidding facial photography, which will effectively deprive them of their Second Amendment rights.

Oh, and while we're at it?  Let us throw in the inherent rights to be secure in property and home.  Since the Amish religious teachings attempt to make their followers leave society along and be left alone by society, a complete invasion of privacy occurs.  No matter, the state will just publish some pictures of Zebadiah and Matilda, and they won't know the difference while they get to keep their guns.  After all, it isn't like the Amish have TV's or get the newspaper.  (I assume that they do not read the newspaper, but I could be 100% mistaken on that embellishment).  Nah...the state can't be bothered with the fact that they have taken food directly off the table of a self-sufficient culture, or a self-reliant culture that has the means to defend itself.  After all, help is only a phone call to 911 dispatch away.  Oh wait a second!  NO PHONES!

The point is, the state of Illinois and other state that require "ownership" cards create de facto registration.  As this article proves, an individual need not suffer from a confiscation of personal property to be denied basic and protected civil rights.  The infringement occurs at the precise time onus regulations are placed upon an individual.  By shifting the burden from the state to the individual to prove any form of "need" or to place a scarlet letter upon the identity of a gun owner, the free exercise of freedom has been lost.  Further, when these infringements violate multiple Constitutional protections, the state's compelling interest test should fall on its face in a court challenge.

I don't expect to see the media coming to decry these actions like when officials from some states forced Muslim Women to shed their burkas for drivers license photos, considering it is an agenda with which they agree.  But let me stem the comparison before it starts; there is no Constitutional protection upon drivers license.  No one forced the Muslims to give up their religious beliefs through a rule change, and further, there is a compelling state interest to know exactly who is driving and who isn't (as well as a civil responsibility with respect to torts and liability lawsuits).

The mere fact that forcing a culture to betray its religious beliefs to exercise an enumerated civil right, should give us all motivation to continue the pursuit of pure firearms freedom (and other freedom).  After all, as seen here, it is truly the right that protects all others.

Socialist Utopia: School Admins Create Soft Citizens

While this kind of reaction is expected in the UK, it is highly disgusting here in the USA!

Seriously?  Giving a child detention for making a "gun gesture?"  It is utter rubbish!  I speak from personal experience as a kid who grew up with BB guns and air pistols at an early age as well has a pair of "six shooter" cap guns, replete with their own cheesy leather holsters and cowboy hat.  I was taught the difference between what was real (bb guns and true firearms that could hurt and maim people) as well as what was pretend (the cap guns and eventually Nerf products).

The question is, what lesson does a seven year old learn when they are given detention for making their thumb and index finger into the infamous shape of a gun?

I propose that from now on, this become the standard way that all citizens in the United States shall point at anything.  Signs, products on the shelve, or stupid people in the education system.  Perhaps they will attempt to ban us from making this pointing gesture because it makes their willy nilly go all invert and change orientation?  Who cares!

The point here is that attempting to create an environment where aggression is punished and pacifism is rewarded only works to breakdown the civil and self reliant society.  When we see stories such as these, it only confirms our thoughts that leftists exist inside the halls of academia.

Balto O's Player Scott, Excoriated for Political Leanings

While it is no secrete that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are effectively dead in this country, it is sad to see the denigration run all the way into the world of sports.  Though, that statement should be qualified since it is sad to see the repugnant stench of the leftist agenda and legacy media excoriate a decent man who believes in God, Guns, and Country.

Oriole's slugger Luke Scott is well known as an avid firearms enthusiast and hunter.  Scott was a loud critic of the new MLB rules regarding firearms in the clubhouse that went into effect earlier this year.  Though, being a bit more "centric" in one's political and heritage leanings, will seem to earn you the target on your back.  Especially if those leanings including having questions regarding the President's citizenship status.

Last week,  Scott, did an interview with Yahoo Sports "Answer Man," David Brown.  The two engaged in a lengthy question and answer session that covered the gambit from baseball winter meetings and free agent signings, to hunting, and of course politics.  While the main soundbite is what got the play last week, most news agencies failed to convey the back story in the lead up to what Scott said about the President and his birth certificate.  Scott's skepticism of Obama's citizenship status wasn't the only criticism the designated hitter had for the current regime, as he conveyed a central distrust towards the CIC.

Reading the whole article, it puts a perspective onto professional athletes, and how some are just your average, law abiding, country loving, people.  Scott appears to have a genuine love of our country.  He firmly believes in our founding and our founding documents, and absolutely loathes anyone that would mean to tear apart our freedom, independence, and the ability to live in those ways.  What is truly sad is that media outlets, other baseball players, and even Scott's own organization either chided him or distanced themselves from him.  Last I checked, this is a free country, and as Scott said in his interview, "It is what I believe."

Well said Luke!  Well said!  This is a free country (or at least that is what we have always been taught).  So it should come as no shock when the likes of Keith Overbite try to smear Scott as the worse person in the world.  Further, Overbite accuses (with no evidence whatsoever) Scott of taking steroids.  While sports and politics might not mix, if that's where the interviewer lead Scott, then let the interview run there.  We are all free to read or not read an article or ignore a specific player.  I am glad that Overbite actually admitted that Scott has a First Amendment right, and hopefully Scott realizes that he has right to sue the hell out of someone that has slandered him.  (Granted, there is a huge hurdle to overcome since Scott is a public figure and does play in a sport surrounded by steroidal controversy).

I honestly am not one that really believes in going out of my way to boycott leftist actors or athletes, but the double standard that is presented here is absolutely horrific.  Overbite is nothing more than a shill and a cheerleader for the president, and has been suspended for direct contributions to the leftist party of the USA (read demos).

So, in a put up and shutup kinda statement, it is easy to say that Luke Scott is now my new favorite Oriole.  Too bad most of the Christmas shopping is done for this season, else I would consider going out and buying a Luke jersey and some form of autographed memorabilia!  I wounder if the O's would plan on doing a Wounded Warrior Project and auctioning off the items so I can get a Luke Scott autographed camo jersey?  Tis' the season!

Righthaven Business Model Receives Serious Setback

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

To the blogosphere, Righhaven, LLC was a vampire!  (Then again, most lawyers and their business model are vampires).

So it is with great pleasure that I re-blog Wired's coverage of a significant blow to the grubby lawyers.  Kudos to all of those who were sued and said "I know my rights!" and didn't give into these slime buckets!

NYC Mosque vs Pentagon Prayers vs Gov Overlords

Amendment I:  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Oh the calamity!  First there was a proposed mosque near ground zero.  Then there were people who oppose the mosque.  Then there are the opposers of the opposers, and now calls for investigations into those who are in favor and those who aren't in favor of the said mosque!  Oh, and by the way, there is also a room inside the Pentagon where Muslims pray!  Forget the calamity, OH THE HUMANITY!

If you haven't read America Alone by Mark Steyn, then you should.  It will certainly help you understand what I am about to tell you in better light.  First, let us realize that peaceful Islam, even when peaceful, is nothing more than an adjunct political system that is hell bent on world domination.  Don't take my word for it, just listen to the bat nuts like the imam who is behind the NYC kick to the proverbial USA's nuts.  He will tell you that the USA has more blood on it's hands than the radical islmofascists do.  Feisal Adbul Taufand I will agree to disagree on that last doozey, simply because of the fact that I am an ignorant American.  (Sarcasm people, please read between the tea leaves).

Look, let's get some things straight.  Number one, jihadists have brought "blood on the hands" upon themselves.  True, the USA tends to act like an empire and thus it meddles, unnecessarily at times, in foreign affairs.  Unlike what Imam Rauf has said, Iraq was responsible for the death of millions of Muslim people.  Iran was responsible for the hostage crisis.  Jihadists blew up the Cole and Khobar towers and were even fought by our fourth President, Thomas Jefferson, when they were busy being Barbary Pirates.  Hell, not even the Islamists can agree on the Islam!  Some are Sunni some are Shiite.  Others still want complete Shaira law for the whole world!  Instead of agreeing amongst themselves, they blow one another up and yet, we're the intolerant ones?

Then there are government overlords.  Hiding behind the same first amendment that we use, they claim to "defend" and condemn us all at the same time.  Enter the Guinness Guys: BRILLIANT!  Here's the thing, no one gives a rats donkey whether these people build their Mosque or not.  Quite frankly, most of America acknowledges they have the full right to build it where they want.  If you choose to build it there oh Friar peddler of the Islam, don't be surprised if there is some vigilante justice going on.  I'm not asking for it, I'm just saying you take the chance.  It's the type of justice we would expect from your ilk if we were to put a Catholic Cathedral five blocks next to Mecca.  You claim to be "tolerant" of our USA laws and culture, yet you fail to realize just how tolerant we are of your "political system."

Simple, people don't care how you worship, or where, as long as you are "sensitive" to the noble deaths of our citizens.  You know, the ones that your ilk murdered.  No one has gone bat crap crazy over a multi-use prayer room where DoD Muslims pray from time to time.  That is the spirit of America, and we are ok with that, even if you aren't.  Most of us understood shortly after 9/11 that those of you in the middle east have the same empirical wishes that the USA leadership has.  Fine, well and good, do it on your own turf!  Leave us out of it.  If you don't, and you haven't, be ready for an ass whoopin!  We get that your history dating back to Mesopotamia has that conquering nature and we conquer to make friends and, well, stick around for a while.  You're just pissed that you hadn't thought about that idea in the last two thousand years.

Well, ok.  So I've digressed.  Case in point, the Islamofascists are being their usual ass-hatter selves, and expect us to alter our culture to fit theirs.  They have tried and succeeded widely in Europe and now they come to the last bastion of freedom, shinning upon the hill and they're biting off more than they can chew.  Newsflash retards, Washington doesn't represent some 75% of the USA if you haven't checked lately.  That figure is more than 2x as high as the colonies' dissatisfaction with the English crown when we revolted, so don't get too comfy.  Us Americans sometimes favor a good old fashioned beat down, and we're gonna continue to beat you down until you give up through good old fashioned American "astroturfing."

Help Out the Armed Citizen Blog's Defense against Righhaven, LLC

As we reported last week, a new company called Righthaven, LLC, has been buying up copyrights and then suing Mom and Pop bloggers, forum owners and others for re-posting their articles without their permission.  Unfortunately, fellow blogger, Freeper, and general nice guy Dave "The Lone Ranger" over at the Armed Citizen Blog is one of the unwilling victims of low life, scum bucket Steve Gibson.

The same reject of a human who has sued a Mafia member, is about to put The Armed Citizen out of business, unless they can come up with the necessary funds to fend off this baseless lawsuit.  I have republished Dave's plea for support and funds here below (with permission) and ask that we give him the financial and moral support that we can afford.

My friends, The Armed Citizen website is now imperiled by this lawsuit. My colleague and I are evaluating all our options, including the question of how much it costs to stand on principle.
I’m begging you to help.

Donating money on the website will help us cover and rebound from this challenge. You can do so securely on the website, TheArmedCitizen.com. Don’t neglect Free Republic, but we may need to hang together on this. (”Or most assuredly, we will all hang separately.”

Calling the Review-Journal to politely express your dismay at these lawsuits will also help.

Contacting other news agencies, the NRA, any other legal representation or organizations that you know of that can help would be most appreciated!
I understand that they may have to shut down the Armed Citizen Blog, but I certainly hope that they don't because of some arrogant lawyer that doesn't know any other way to make money than to slice the pie into smaller pieces instead of making more pie.  I hope Dave and his fellow blog operators fight this psychopathic, legal megalomaniac for the sake of this blog and others who enjoy freedom.

Slice of Life: Why I Blog

Welcome to the second installment of Slice of Life, the semi-regular "column" of what's on my mind and how life surrounds the individual.

Earlier this week, we saw a blatant and coordinated attack by the old media against the new media.  Obviously, this isn't so much an attack on the messenger, but in reality, the message.  The outcry against those of us in the "new media" who have welcomed increased freedom and less government regulation in an effort to disseminate the truth, are now seen as targets for a dino-media that is loosing influence and market share.  Most of us do this for free because we enjoy it.  It is our hobby and our passion, and gives us an outlet, which may or may not have an impact upon the landscape of the country.  Most of us realize that we are relevant only to a subset of American culture, but we are relevant to those who matter most; family, friends, and the friends of friends who share the same views as us.

While writing, politics, and history might be a hobby of mine, I am not personally seeking much gain other than another voice on the bandwidths of the internet.  I don't seek attention, except to fuel my own ego, and I certainly don't do this for the money.  Instead of keeping a lame journal, that no one else will ever read, there is a chance that the words scribed here will become immortal and invaluable for future societies.  A common "peasant's" view of the world, unaltered, unregulated, and unflushed down the memory hole of the Ministry of Truth.

Most of the new media movement merely follows the news and reports on the "obscure" outrage of the day type stories that those in the old media refuse to follow.  The new media follows them because to us, these stories are not "obscure" but actually "slices of life" (reality).  We feel empowered to broadcast the insane stories and to question the lack of attention provided to them by those in the old media.  New media members want to show the hypocritical nature and the collisions of those in the old media with the ruling class.  The mere fact that the ever expanding technology that is now accessibly affordable to mainstream Americans has given those of us with grievances the forum for redress, drives those in the old media to the funny farm.

When our founders were frustrated and fed up with the ruling establishment, they first sought out the minds of their fellow colonists through editorials in revered and prestigious newspapers.  Most of our founders were commoners who took it upon themselves to do the work that they knew needed to be done.  Today, us commoners must trudge through the web of news paper editors, website moderators, talk show call screeners, the FCC's decency policies, and other litigious obstacles to exercise our First Amendment rights.  In the era of the "self-publishing" World Wide Web, we feel emancipated to spread the wealth of ideas, philosophy, and history and win over the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans.

Perhaps in that quest, we may step on a few toes.  We may inaccurately report a few items.  We may use sarcasm and irony to twist the words of others to prove the righteous points and ridicule the liars and the thieves of our ruling class along with their complicit dino-media lackeys.  Most of us know that we have to use excellent Google-Fu skills to advert lawsuits and place phone calls to those who we really were on the ground and have the first hand knowledge of the situation we are reporting upon.  Unlike the old media, we are not motivated by ideology, but for a natural and relentless pursuit of the truth, which is precisely the job that the old media is supposed to be doing.

Update: Bloggers are the "Worst of the Internet?"

What's the problem Bob, loosing market share?  (Sorry, CBS won't embed with their shoddy html coding).

It seems that we are seeing yet another coordinated media attack to smear and besmirch the innocent people the ruling elites despise.  Too bad Bob, we got the memo that you distrust us and don't like the fact that the country class is better informed and sometimes more knowledgeable than yourself (source).  Of course, it should be quite obvious that someone from CBS would "trash" bloggers considering your network's history of fine, upstanding reporting that happened to manufacture documents to trash a sitting President as a liar (GWB's Dan Rather-gate and the falsified docs "proving" GWB skipped on his National Guard duties).

So, the ridicule you throw at the blogosphere is not only not warranted, but completely unfounded and hypocritical.  Most of us know that right-wing blog world is on the watch of the dino-media and we know damned well that we better be fact checking, making phone calls and Goolging our asses off to prevent liability lawsuits and slimy news reports against us.  Like I said of the CNN report, we are only looking for the truth, and the truth is that you can't hold our journalistic jock straps for passion, reality, and relevant-ism.  So put that in your Nelson reports and smoke it.

Bloggers are the "Worst of the Internet?" Nice Try CNN, but Not Quite

Let us correct what the true meaning of John Roberts comments are:  "The truly nasty side of the internet is the right-wing nutjob bloggers who have finally been allowed to have an outlet for their pent up frustrations.  How dare they talk out against their overlord media and call into question our integrity and 'journalistic' qualities.  We report the news, they hide behind pseudonyms.  Not like they matter much at all, because they are non-impacting upon the 'real news' that the likes of this network reports."

First off Mr. Roberts, if us bloggers don't really matter, why are you talking about us?  Talking about us only gives us the credibility that some of us desire.  I for one know that in reality, those who read my comments are mainly friends and family, and fellow bloggers and message board members who primarily share the same political philosophies as myself.

We also know that you hate the fact that someone on some blog happened to provide Mr. Breitbart with the "inconveniently edited" tape of Ms. Sherrod's NAACP comments so your contempt for the exposure of a hypocritical liberal organization is so great, that it is impossible for you to hide your true meaning. CNN and Mr. Roberts dislikes the fact that despite Ms. Sherrod's come to Jesus moment, her actions as a public official were still rooted in racism.  As soon as she decided to not do her duties to the fullest extent possible, based on skin color alone, she had perpetuated the prejudice that the NAACP claims to fight against.  While I personally applaud Ms. Sherrod for admitting the failures of her human kind, as a public employee, she is held to a high standard of personal integrity.  Did that standard warrant a firing?  Probably not, but, the fact remains that she openly admitted that some people will discriminate within their government positions based on race and race alone.  Dr. King, Jesus, and God, don't see color, last I checked, but some of their decedents certainly do.

Does the expose of Ms. Sherrod and the subsequent exposure of shoddy editing and portrayal in the "pajama-media" deserve a full on excoriation of the First Amendment?  Absolutely not!  If we need an FCC sheriff of the internet, then so too does the alphabet media.  Most of the "right-wing blogosphere" is motivated by nothing more than a relentless search for the truth with an underlying moral background to seek the truth and the justice that follows.  Most of us merely opine and direct people to "real" new sources, that actually report the facts that we seek.  We also know that the right-wing side of the blogosphere is under strict scruitiny from the likes of CNN and Mr. Roberts.   Unlike the dino-media cohorts who have to redact and edit past articles for their false statements, untruthfulness, and then subsequent flushing of these correct items down the memory hole all, we follow our hearts for the truth not for their hidden agendas.  I'd think that we [bloggers] are the gatekeepers that Mr. Roberts would actually like to see monitoring the "monitors" of the free society and it's internet.

In summation, Mr. Roberts, we'll keep our free internet, blogs, and the inconvenient truth, you can keep the change.
