Where's the Next "Internet?"

As Reagan used to say, "The worst thing you can hear in the English language is, 'I'm from the government, and I'm hear to help.'" I've always found that when you hear those words, you should turn 180 and RUN, as fast as you can.

Now that the NSA, partnered with DoD Contractor Raytheon, are monitoring the internet through their program called "Perfect Citizen," I have to ask where I can find the next internet to facilitate the free flow of ideas, communication, and commerce. Is it time to take the Amateur Radio License test and become a HAM operator for point to point communications? Or should I fear the thought police from the Ministry of Truth jumping off the pages of my copy of 1984 and taking me to a vaporization chamber?

SOCOM of the intarwebs is now live and active, but I doubt there is a Rainbow 6 running the operations. I'm from the government and I'm hear to help you (control the internet). Scary stuff.
